Discharging and Charging

Can somebody tells me what is the reason to discharge and charge the Lipo battery up to 5 cycles or more using the Lipo Balance Charger?

Apparently, there's a chemical when the batteries ship. Initially cycling the battery breaks down the chemical and allows it to reach to it's full capacity. After that, there's no reason to cycle.
