ANYTHING Entry Level?
Are there any good entry lever rock crawlers? Kind of like the TT01, in price and quality >_<
Not with mattery/charger or anything but, RTR. Even a kit that includes everything else would be nice.
Or maybe a car that would be cheaper just to convert.
I'm weary of used rc - but could be willing, depending on age/quality.
Suggestions?

only ones I can think of that are on the low end are the redcats, and exceeds.
Next would probably be an HPI wheelyking stretched out, but that might actually cost more than just buying an axial kit.
Just looked HPI's Crawler king is like $213 RTR

Prefer something from a known brand, unlike NitroRCX/Redcat. I've looked at the Venom quite a bit, but the kit part worries me. While still using parts that have good value, or even the absolute minimum from knock-off parts, what would be the minimum to finish the build?
I'm looking do do a scale Land Rover Series 3... Maybe doing it on a Losi Micro Crawler. I have looked for some model kits or bodies for it, but haven't found any.
I have some extra parts.. a futuba radio, but no servo or reciever. Would it be better just to get a servo/reciever and brushed motor/esc + a kit?
I haven't built a kit before, how hard would one like this be?

The venom is probably the cheapest I'd go with while still being decent quality. For my main crawler, I built a wheely king into one. I used the prebuilt version, though(no electronics except a motor), so I was able to build a good crawler at a reasonable price. For some reason hpi stopped making the pr-built version so now you'd have to get a full RTR and pay for the crummy RTR electronics.[:'(] If you can find an inexpensive wheely king in decent shape, they do make good crawlers.

If you are looking at a good scaler then take a look at the Axial SCX10 trucks..... You will pay a little more up front for one but you will be better off in the long run and there is alot of aftermarket support for them.

Considering that Venom also has a Safari Crawler which is based on the Series 3, and having the electronics already, I think I'll buy the venom kit.
Not immediatly, but soon. If anyone has anything they would like to trade for a TA03 chassis or somewhat broken Emaxx, or a Losi micro Rally, or all of the above, I'd be happy to trade >_<

I'm looking to build somthing close to this -

Looks good. The cc01 is a good base for building scale trucks. For smaller, more scale tires you could use 1.55 size ones. RC4wd makes a good variety of 1.55 wheels and tires.

After thinking... AGAIN... I'm hoping to try and to a Losi Micro Rock Crawler scaler. I've found two possible model kits I could use -

If I were to get a Micro Crawler, Diecast Defender, and LiPo kit, It would still cost around $150 and still only have a 20min runtime.
With a kit, I could keep my 45Min battery, as well as having a 1/10 car.
The CC01 seems fairly close.
Opinions on the CC01 or Venom, or other similar kits?
Note that I somewhat prefer Tamiyas due to the fact I am close to the Tamiya USA track + quality and part support >_<

I got a couple tamiyas (not the CC01 it was a contender but I got the axial SCX10 instead) and never had any real issues with them.
I actually like tamiyas quality, and availability
I'll be honest I'd be scared to buy the venom mainly due to the poor experiences I've had with every product I've bought with their logo on it. I only mentioned it cause your price range.

What are you looking for out of it? Relatively high speed running or slower and more offroad capable? If you aren't looking to do rock crawling, the cc01 would probably be better. You could lift itand put larger tires on for heavier offroad/trail driving or lower it a bit and get a lexan body(only if it doesn't come with one. The unimog, landcruiser and bronco are lexan) for more rally oriented driving.

I don't know, I don't like buggy or truggys >_< I don't want that much speed, just enough to get it around the little Tamiya USA offroad track a bit above normal crawler top speed.
A Concept-
I have a TT01 with stock everything. I've been thinking of upgrading the motor, so my idea was to take my extra electronics and the motor from the TT01(27T) to use in the CC01. Will the TT01, by default, accapt a brudheless motor? Or would it be better to buy a higher-turn brushed for the TT01.

I just need a Radio and servo + crystals.

no clue on BL with a stock TT01 I replaced my diffs gear set with a DF-02's metal diff gear set, put steel outdrives, and CVDs on it right out of the box with a BL motor.

Syco is correct, the kit comes with the esc and motor, so you only need a receiver w/crystal and a steering servo. If you get it, remember to smear a thin layer of grease around the lips where the rear axle case comes together(helps keep dirt out).

So the futuba radio Is a "Magnum Junior T2PHKA" and says 70 - 75.590... All I have is the actual controller part.
A bit of advice on if I need certain crystals, and If I need a certain reciever/servo?
Edit: Attached photo shows all my extra electronics I'd like to use the Futuba radio, but if it would be more effective to use my other setup, I would use that.
