Is this just for backyard bashing/casual crawling? The Losi is really meant for competing. It does not like brushed motors. They get really hot, really fast. Even my brushless setup gets pretty damn hot running longer than about 10 minutes at a time. Battery life is relatively short for a crawler. The typical 1100-1500mah packs that guys run only last about 20 minutes whereas they'll last upwards of 45 minutes in an AX-10. Like I said, they're meant for competition where you typically only run for about 5 minutes at a time.

The Losi has a built-in dig unit that requires you to have a 3rd servo. Even if you don't use the dig, the servo needs to be there to keep the dig from slipping outta gear.

On the plus side, it is a pretty kick-ass crawler. Competitively speaking, it blows the AX-10 outta the water. But just for casual backyard crawling, the AX-10 is probably the way to go. It's very versatile. It will run just fine on brushed motors and it will run for a long time on small 1100mah batteries.

The Losi CC will work great with a decent brushed motor. I am running a Fantom Blitz 35t hand wound in mine. It NEVER gets more than warm even after 20-30 minutes of running. I fried 2 expensive brushless motors before i tried the Fantom. I would not go back to brushless after this motor with a CC Sidewinder.

This one's easy. If your gonna comp, get the losi. If not, get the axial. Many reasons for both. I won't bore you with them. Trust me.

wow yes, the Losi comp is an amazing machine. the weight distribution on them is fabulous. tested them against my CR01 and no comparison what so ever.. i love it!
