I’m looking for the wheelbase dimensions for the following 1/10 Tamiya trucks
Ford F350 High Lift
Toyota Hilux High Lift
Toyota Tundra High Lift
What I want is the distance from wheel center to wheel center I know 2 are the same chassis but one is longer I need to know which is which and the size preferably in metric though I can convert
Also for the same trucks the total length and width of the chassis would be a great help.

Wheelbase for my high lift f-350 body measures about 11.5" or 29 cm.
I'm pretty sure that the F-350 and Hilux have the same chassis and the Tundra's is different.

As you can see, the Tundra has a cutout in the chassis for the battery. Neither of the the others have this.

Sorry I can't help you with the chassis length and width. I'm currently building a f-350 with custom chassis and tlt-1 axles to bring the wheels under the body more.

Thanks for that all useful information I was looking for a wheel base of 33.9-40cm I can’t see the Tundra being that long, the idea was to be clever and use the chassis for a 1/6 jeep conversion though it will be too short, looks like I will have to find the right axles, what are your opinion of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1506497475...84.m1423.l2649

From what I've heard, RC Channel's axles are very good quality. As far as the width goes, High Lift Axles are 186mm wide(from wheel hub face to wheel hub face). What did you plan on using for a transmission?

This is for the jeep conversion I’m going to build, I was informed that one of the Tamiya chassis would work but that looks very doubtful, transmition I have this in mind http://www.rcrockcrawling.com/produc...roducts_id=818 and could also do with some leaf springs 6” or 15cm eye to eye and the shortest dampers I could find are 7cm when I could do with 6cm.
I’m taking this project one step at a time once I have found everything I require then I’ll order everything at once, RC cars is not my speciality I know little about them.

Yeah, the highlift would need major work to get the right wheelbase and there wouldn't be much space to fit its somewhat large 3-speed transmission. With a custom built chassis, you could design it around the body.

That's a nice transfer case(note: it doesn't come lubed, you need grease or oil). For a transmission you might consider RC4wd's Disruptor. Since it's a planetary trans, it's compact, but has nice low gear ratio(16:1) to help move the larger body.

Hi guys new to the rock crawler scene a friend of mine told me that i should use the tamiya f350 with the hi lift kit...

That's not a great deal. Tamiya sets their msrp very high so they aren't competition for stores. The f350 high lift generally goes for a hair over $400.

Not only that, but that site looks kinda shifty.

Here are two places I've bought from quite a bit before. Of the two, I like Stormer a bit better because they generally ship out a bit quicker. Both are good, though.

Thanks for the heads up! i bought from them before and it was good and got here fast... actually they dont sell anything at all, they just post all the best deals that they find, its kinda cool..

Strange site. The link you just posted just brings up a "not found" page and the previous link you posted brings up a different page.

Anyway, I'm guessing you're referring to the different versions of the high lift? Myself, I'd get the f-350 because I'm a Ford fan and I really like the 99-07 super duties. That's just my personal preference, though, what really matters is which you like the best.
