Default Wraith Suspension Help

Hello every 1 I started with the basics from Vanquish like the knuckles , lock outs and I just adde on the 10 piece link set. Now I cant figure out how to get my wraith to not bounce when I drop i from about 10 " of the ground. I flipped the rear shock mounts and I changed the rear springs to the traxxis tra 5860 springs on the stock shocks and I am waiting to receive the front Losi losa5144gold springs . Does ant 1 know what else needs to be done to achieve that sweet sag ?

Change your shock oil... the oil is what is controlling the way it bounces..

with oil they cant absorbe shock, so with out oil they are just spring guides... with oil they are shock absorbers

well thats the thing there is no magic number that will make it a awesome handling machine, u need to do it via trial and error.

so its running 30wt from the factory... u need to go up, maby order a 40wt, 50wt & 60wt bottles.
and try them....only takes a few min to remove the shocks and replace the oil. and the oil is cheap. I use losi oil because its personally tested and guaranteed to be accurate

Im only going to use it for crawling. What I did today was change the pistons from 2 hole to the 3 hole pistons , I only have 10 , 20 and 60wt shock oil so I tried the 20wt and it still had a bounce so I tried the 60wt and the bounce was big so I guess I will try the 50 and 40wt. Is there anything else I can try to get it so it doesnt bounce at all ?

can u get a video of this bounce? or can u describe it in more detail?

when droped it might bottom out but it will compress the shocks, then they uncompress then slightly compress again and stop. once the wheels have touched the ground they shouldent bounce off the ground. its hard to see it do that, generally is should just go splat with no bounce

changing from 2 hole to 3 might of made it worse, it shouldent be bouncing with 2 hole and 60wt

when u change the oil make sure to bleed the shock if not then they can lock an make the wraith bounce i did that to mine. i run team associated 45 weight oil in all fours with stock springs nice slow movement for crawlin but not so soft that it leans when on the throttle

If you're just crawling with it, why are you doing the drop test? You need springs that are just heavy enough to support the weight of the truck and a light shock oil.
