Default cheap back up light trick

Hey guys!
Wanted to share a trick for having back up lights i recently learned. all you do is connect some LED's backwards to your motor wires. i did it in the ascender because it has spots to put LED's in the rear bumper already. works great they come on only when you back up. i used 2 5mm white LED's and 2 180 ohm resistors. you can run the wires down the frame a zip tie or two and good to go and you won't have another plug to deal with when you take off the body.

Yep no problem. the only thing that is kinda a down side is when you back up slowly the light is slightly dim but it's still cool to have reverse lights on my crawler for less than the real thing.

Did it to the scx10 after i had to DIY some light buckets. the parts i used come in the kit and i think they are for mounting a different body than the honcho. worked out good. a little issue i have run into going forward turns the lights on just a small amount. i'm not sure exactly what is doing this but i'm thinking maybe the resistor or could be the motor i'm using because it's just a stock can and it has resistors on it that connect the poss and neg together. so i'm thinking might be some current going through and causing it but i'll know more after some testing.

now to add it to the drift car and also going to add a orange LED to the tail pipe but connect it the right way so it lights up when going forward.
give it a try and thanks for looking.
