RE: lets see what you got!
if i were you i would look into a clod, IMO clods are better for the front and rear gearboxes, front wheels get stuck u can still turn back wheels to get out, txt-1's have problems with that, so i have heard
heres my clod, it is a custom chassis i made, the shock are a little short so after i get my big bores i will be getting soem better articulation but for rigth now it is pretty good

RE: lets see what you got!
This is my newest set up, based on a Rock Raider chassis from RCRockgear.com. It is hands down the best crawler I`ve ever driven and I`m pick about performance as this is going to be my Comp rig. Sorry for the poser pics, I took these just after finishing it Sat, I`ve crawled it a good bit since the but haven`t had anyone around to shoot pics. Bring on the Clods !!

And here are my two previous setups. The Jeep bodied one is based on modified Savage TVP`s, the other is a tuber.

RE: lets see what you got!
worship_my_model98,
Depending on how you set up your truck, the motors do fine with the Kong's. I run with the ORCRC guys (where the RockRaider chassis began [8D]) and a lot of the guys around here run gear reduction units on Stampede or E-Maxx transmissions. With this set up they run either a single Integy 55t motor or a single Magnetic Meyhem motor.
This gives them plenty of power and torque even for the big crawlers with Kongs on them.

worship_my_model98-The First thing Iowuld do to you pede is make it 4wd check out rcmt.net for more info on that. Now if you want to go the solid axle apporch Wou will need to lock up the arms.Take a look at ORCRC's EMaxx crawler for idea on conveting IS truck.

worship_my_model98,
You can make a Stampede into a pretty good crawler, but it will take some know how, time and money. It would be much easier to sell the Stampede and purchase a used TXT-1, Clodbuster or Twin Force.

that is a sweet looking tlt!
are you getting all that articulation just with the "shock to linkage" mod? or have you made some other changes.

so are you saying that despite the articulation it doesnt crawl that well? - or simply that by making other mods you can get more articulation?
What do you mean "Just for Show"?

RE: lets see what you got!
it looks like you have just passed the linkage through the eye on the shock.. am i right?
how does it stay put and not slip up and down the linkage?
