RE: need help
It's a combination of long links, slightly lengthend chassis and alternative link locations.
To make a TLT like mine you have to make a new chassis that is 3/4" longer than stock, though you may be able to use T-Maxx links and have a similar length with the stock chassis. My chassis is made out of 1/8" Delrin plastic and is of similar design to the stock chassis. I'm also using a Stampede tranny with lengthened Stampede sliders. If you want to know how to lengthen the sliders PM me and I'll let you know how. The way I do it will keep them from binding, breaking or rotating due to the torque of the motor.
You have to re-locate your axle links. My bottom links have been moved up to the side of the axle. I used the outter screw holes that hold the axle together, dremeled them down and them screwed the link bracket into those holes (it's a perfect fit). This gives about 3/4" more length on each end (1.5" total).
The links I'm using are T-Maxx 106mm on the bottom and 116mm on top. If I change my link brackets to keep the dual hole bracket on the top I can switch back to a 106mm on top. The only reason I haven't done this yet is because I don't feel like spending $18.00 on links considering it works so well now.

That is a stock T-Maxx Jeep CJ-8 body
The truck works very well and has actually been able to climb some things the big boy's can't climb. I may still give it a bit more articulation, but I'm undecided on it right now. I have 5mm spacers in each shock limiting their travel right now. If I take them out I can get about 80-85 degree articulation. Right now I'm at about 65-70 degree.
