I have had to fix a few things on My 1/6th. I pulled the pass side shaft out and rana weld around it, i then groud it down so the bearings would fit back on, it seem to be holding much better than the stock shat and cup. on my small one i put a toyota tacoma concept body on it so it did not look like the big one. Notice in the 1/6th the gauge cluster and heater controls and where the park brake was it now has transfer case twin sticks.

Does anyone know if they are going to be making upgrade parts for these thing in the near future?

they have upgraded to some better axles and such but you can only get the upgrades if you buy a whole chassis. I have a first generation and with all the walmarts out of stock around here looks like i won't be getting an upgraded one from walmart but we can order direct at funrise.com to see if you have gen 1 or 2 look at the shocks they will be screwed in both top and bottom for the gen 2. the upgraded gen 2 has better axles with more metal in them instead of plastic.

Hey Jefferson1964
What store did you buy yours from?? I bought one last night at full price[] Charging the battery now Could you or would you fax me a copy of your receipt. I could get two for the price of one[8D] Would have a hard time explaining that one to the wife Hi Baby,no thats not another car

ORIGINAL: Jefferson1964

Well walmart lowered the 1:6 from $149 to $119 and now $75....i got cash back all the way down using my reciept. Based upon what i was told here i purchased the Krylon Fusion Black and Forest Green. Dissassembled the body took off the stickers and painted and put it back together. It looks much better with the green body. I have not posted pics before but will give it a try......for $75 bucks and two cans of paint this is the best value out there IMO......just need some rocks to climb....none around where i live......

I just painted mine today. I have drilled hole in the rims, cut the little tabs under the support arms. Added limit straps and put o-rings on the drive gears.

Only so far. They cannot swim or be dumped in water but they can go through little puddles, etc.

Not much done to mine, just tire cutting and reversing. It did make a bit of difference. The pic compares the 1/6 Nylint to the New Bright 1/10 scale crawler.

I'm a noob here and was reading the thread about the 1:6 scale Rock Climber. I just bought one (Jeep) at my local Wal-Mart last night. They were closing them out for $49.98 ea.

I brought it to work with me and I'm messing around with it on and off. Seems to be quite the climber.

A couple of months ago, I also bought one of the Ultimate Soldier 1:9 scale Abrams Tank. It's a blast to run. So....between my Jeep and my Tank, I'm good to go......for a while.

Later..........
