pulling

RE: pulling
I did when I was younger........boy it was fun. I bought a shelby pulling sled for our shop to hold pulls. I want to get a few pullers to have onsite for new people to try. Anyone know where to get them? I am going to build a custom one for myself and daughter. Any pointers?

RE: pulling
Actually I dont. But I'll try to get one up here soon.
The chassis is all aluminum and the truck can weigh a max of 15lbs. any .21 engine. this truck took 2nd at the 2004 worlds. I think we ended up pulling 92 lbs in the pull off

RE: pulling
Actually r/c pulling is huge in Indiana!! Lots of nr/ctpa clubs. the world championships are in Montpelier, Ohio every year. Not far from Indiana!!
The hooter chassis are always popular.
I see they finally updated the website.
www.nrctpa.com there you can find all the affiliated clubs and check out some pics.
I'll try to get some body off pics of my truck today.
Heres a new shot of my truck with 07' suburban body.

RE: pulling
Also heres a link to youtube of one of my runs at a local club event. I believe there was 65# in the sled. I'm standing in the back smoking a cigarette. I let the track owner drive my truck on that run.

RE: pulling
Wow, those pullers are way cool. I was watching part of a 1:1 pulling competition on Sunday morning, and those scale rigs really resemble the real thing. Thanks for the pictures and videos!

RE: pulling
I am building a sled for RC pulling, it is about 3' long. I need someone to test it for me. I don't know anyone around me that pulls (I am in NW Iowa). I would like a club that is active in RC pulling that I could send my sled to, and they could test it for me. Can someone help me out here?
Thanks,
Nick
