Finally got my AX-10 going & it's a BLAST!! I brought it to work & it climbs over just about anything in the shop, including the lifts, tires, boxes, batteries, etc. This thing should be unstoppable as soon as I get all the parts for the Stage II mod.Just have to trim the body a bit more cuz it hangs up due to the massive articulation. Are there longer body mounts that I can use to install the Proline Bushwacker(Landcriuser) body I've already painted up? It's a bit wider than the original B-17 Betty.

Hello,

Here's my completed AX-10. Here's what I've added so far:

Novak Rooster crawler combo
Hitec servo
moved battery to front axle
Rock star body (Proline)
reused a Traxxas controller
Axial 30 degree links (waiting on second set to come in)

This was my first build it was a good time with no major challenges. I've done some preliminary test (Crawling over my kids!) and this rig looks very capable. I'm going to enjoy this truck and I can see upgrading becoming quite addictive!

Thanks,
QMAXX40

I ordered a Stage II AX-10 and a bunch of add ons today

That means after all the work and money I put into the Wheely King I will be selling it and starting another project.

i notice that your shock bumbers are on the outside of your shocks. it helps them alot to install them inside ,under the shock pistons! it makes them stronger and and lower the truck just a little for better center of gravity

I've searched the forum but have not really found an answer as how to improve the pinion angle, especially when using the 30deg bent links. Is the the Stage II mod supposed to correct this? Should I either lengthen the upper links or shorten the lower links? Installing the upper links under the servo/4-link plate helped a bit,but the driveshafts still hang low. Does the new ARTR AX-10 come with updated axles to help correct the pinion angle? Thanks-Mike

I do believe lengthening the upper links will help. If you can't find the answers here, I would also check Crawl Canada, and RCCrawler.

Parma makes a 1/10 and 1/8 version of this. I know the Grave Digger is not a crawler (haha), but I originally thought I was buying the 1/8 for my Savage. (I picked it up at one of my LHS)

I'll get you some part numbers when I get home today. I've done a dozen lids, but this one was by far the hardest to sticker.

Hi all ,thought I would try my hand at building a droop suspension tube chassis for my AX-10.
Will most likely clean it up some more and give it a paintjob, but just want to try it out like it is just in case I want to make some changes.

I imagine you are still running the locked diffs. The HPI wheely King and RS4 gear diffs drop right in, and will decrease the turning radius substantially.

If you still need a tighter turn, the screws holding the C-hub mounts can be converted to countersunk heads with a little trimming and drilling. This will keep the steering knuckles from hitting the screw heads and give more arc.

You have got what I want to build, where did you get the chassis and bodyshell?? Amazing though it sounds the AX10 is so good that I am now able to get over absolutely anything that I want to. The downside is that it is becoming boring, so having a scaler like that should make life more interesting.

Cheers
