Hi,
Not seen too much of this crawler, its labelled the HSP here in UK.
Mine arrived today - wow! - its HUGE !!!!

Its got twin RS540 Heavy Duty motors, most of the chassis is metal.
And came with a 2 stick controller - that is going to take some getting used to after the pistol grips.

Anyone else got one and has any advice.
I am new to crawling so any help would be appreciated.

Ok, managed to get some video of the crawler.

Also took some pictures of the sump guards and stuff.
Think I may add rear wheel steering, all the parts are there already, just need a sero, mounting plate and steering arm.

Also need to soften the tyres - they are not flattening enough.

good luck with that...still think on that money you could get a ax10 or something...it's a nice replica, with not so nice price...and the tires looks like are not from rubber at all...[]

I thought the price was pretty good, dual motors, loads of metal parts, and cheaper than the AX10. £161.99 delivered.

The tyres are very soft, and can be flatten by hand, just need to remove some foam, have read that people cut the foam in to a star shape.
So need to try this - also soften out the shocks, and that seemed to help.

I am still very pleased with this and think it is good for the money.

Just need to find somewhere that has spares....

Had a slight problem over the weekend, the gearbox cracked.


Managed to make a repair using hot glue, there is plenty of space in side to build up re-enforcement.


Filled as much as I could inside, there is room, and put some around the outside, just to be safe.


Had 2 test runs around the garden, doing my course, and its holding up well.

In the mean time, the supplier has been brilliant, I contacted them asking about spares, and they are to carry the full list,
With it being a new model, they are still waiting for them to arrive.

As soon as the parts are here, they are going to ship them to me, am going to add rear wheel steering while I am at it, to increase the turning circle.

Still think this is fantastic value for money.

Not in to that at all.... it was the only paper towels available when we went shopping last week.
And would not get away with dirt and oil on the kitchen table - well spotted.... [X(]

yes the ax10 is a dam good crawler , but this is still a good price for a 1/8 scale , if like drew says the parts support is there i would purchase one .

The AX10 RTR is £195 here, and the ARTR is not much less.... (£185)
Then add the cost of the receiver, servos, motor etc to the ARTR price and you are way beyond - I looked.

My rig is RTR, with twin motors, all electrics, just charge the supplied 2000mah battery and away....

For the ARTR, with recommended gear would exceed £350....

That, I still say is very good value... and as notatoy says - its 1/8th scale.

I have both the Jeep and an AX10......

At the moment I prefer the Jeep.

What is wrong with having several different crawlers?

I have a XTM X-Crawler, AX10, AX10 Scaler, Losi MRC and another AX10 Scaler that I am building.

By comparison, we learn which are better - so I agree

Still think the HSP Crawler is my favourite.

Is it all plastic? It seems odd that the gearbox broke just days after you received it. I have been to about 12 comps and countless practice sessions with my ax-10 and so far no breakage. These runs included several 6 feet + falls onto rock...

It's a 1/5 scale crawler. Look at the motors on the axles to really get how big this thing is.

The motors on that killerkrawler would be toast in minutes!you would have to get all the gearing just right and a prayer to God!

Blimey, that is expensive - and its just the rolling chassis... [X(]
And does not include wheels and tyres...

Do like the design though.

Makes my 1/8th look like a real bargain to me.

thats not a large crawler more like a micro ... this is a large crawler and it woop that things ass , drew you did get a bargain looking at some of the rubbish on here cheers bro ..........

What lower suspension arms have you got on there?
They look like the AX10 Scorpion design.

I want some of the alloy ones like the Gmade Spider has, but cant find them for sale on their own.
They have the shocks connected to the arms.

hi drew the arms are all made buy my self as is the hole crawler .lol. g made , are very good , not sure of were to purchase there stuff though , thanks bro . stick with that 1/8 you got it looks very cool

You have done a brillian job of making that crawler - bows -

I have the 169mm AX10 suspension arms, which are the correct length, but may not be thick enough.
And would have to add a support mount for the shocks.
