Welcome!! I went wheeling with 2 guys that had Creepers and one with the Scorpion. They climbed everything the Axial Scorpion did. I think you will be happy with it..

I guess I'll join the club.
I just ordered a new Creeper a couple days ago myself.
Any advice on motor/esc combos?
Does going brushless have a noticable effect on performance with crawlers? I noticed several companies have brushless crawler combos out now.

RE: new creeper:)
i have read that brushless is not the best for crawlers as it has a tendancy to "cog".
if you dont know what that is ,the motor will work choppy at slow speeds.
i got the novak rooster and 55t motor combo myself. i got a jr st126mg servo.
the hobby store guy said that would be enough torque ,we will see.
am just going to use one of my many magnum jr's for a radio.
mine scheduled to show tomorow (sat in reno for four days due to the holiday)
i CANT WAIT !!!!!

Yep, I'm familiar with cogging. But sensored systems have reduced that alot.
However, it seems brushed works best at this time so I ordered a Tekin FXR with 55T last night. I liked the option of using a 3S LiPo with a 35T for a little extra speed. I also picked up 220oz/in servo, and I have a spare receiver for my Spektrum DX3.0. I'll be able to hook up the remote diff lock.
Now just waiting for the UPS truck!

RE: new creeper:)
the stage 2 kit gets rid of the battery on top and relocates the links for better climbing, while your'e at it if you are going to do comps with the creeper the go to rcbros.com and get the flm diff lockers, well worth the money. if you just want to bash around then the stock creeper is fine. heres a pic of my creeper with the stage 2 kit

RE: new creeper:)
gixer, i was told i was going to need an extremely high torque servo.
but i bought an jr with 126oz in of torque to put in the truck.
then i went to hook it up and could not get the horn i had to work.
so back to the lhs to find a horn , and off course they only had one for
futaba and hitech . i bought both of them knowing i had a servo from both
companies. i ended up putting my futaba coreless with little over 100oz in
in the truck seems to be plenty of torque !!
i can stand the truck off the stairs and still turn the tires easy!!

Glad you get it running rcslsafut, I finished mine this afternoon.
Been running it over the woodpile and some remaining snowdrifts in the back yard. I'm pretty amazed so far, and that's with it bone stock.
I'll learn how to drive over the next few months then start modding it in the spring.

First pictures while practicing on some firewood I kicked over.
Bone stock with a Tekin FXR ESC and Tekin 55T motor running on a 3S Zippy LiPo (1250 mAh).
Baja Bug body was from an old monster truck. Fits almost perfectly, slight bit of rubbing at times.

RE: new creeper:)
I would guess I'm getting at least 20 minutes out of it. The battery is a 20C I had bought for my 1/16 E-Revo. I know a 55T motor doesn't have much of a current draw so I figured it would work pretty good, which it has.
Power is real good. The ESC gets barely warm, the battery and motor are still cool after a full pack.
