Sails for the Fairwind900
I have an earlier version of the Kyosho Fairwind 900 . I need a new set of sails. The boat was stored for a long time and the sails are just like paper now.... cannot use anymore.
Does anyone know where to get them ??
an email or webpage would be great. ( i dont live in the usa )
thanking you

Ebay!!! or.................
On a pretty regular basis, something called 'colored' Fairwind sails show up on Ebay, and they're pretty inexpensive. Failing that, www.amya.org has a suppliers' page.

Check out Carr Sails:
www.carrsails.com
They are one of the best sails you can buy.
If they are too expensive or you're not planinng on racing then just go to a fabric store and buy rip-stop nylon and use your old sails as a pattern.

Sails for the Fairwind900
I made sails, once, for my Vic, out of ripstop...that's difficult. I think I'd use drafting mylar or something...........
my 2 cents...but, then, the nylon sails were still better than the stock Vic sails.

Sails for the Fairwind900
thanks guys
carr sails look good but are very pricey .. i m not yet . just beginning.
i had this boat stored away for a long time and the sails just crumble like paper now. so need a new one.
there is a guy who cuts sails out of some nylon fabric at our club and i will talk to him also.
the AMYA site has lots of stuff and i contacted Black sails as they are cheaper n will see what they reply..
thanks again.
