The initial objective was to capture the innocence of children playing with model boats from a time gone by.
This has evolved to an internet digital library spanning 190 years (1820-2010).

FLICKR allows the creation of sets (folders) to logically group images. The Model Boating mage collection has the images grouped in sets by type of image (photo, painting, etc.) and location (America, Britain, France, Holland, etc.)

There is a Famous People set which contains photos of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F Kennedy, Ronald Regan, Eunice Shriver, Prince George of England, Prince Wilhelm of Prussia, Fidel Castro, Shirley Temple, Humphrey Bogart, Walt Disney, etc. with model boats.

Hi Larry,

I hope to make it to Woods Hole, I can no longer drive and have to rely on my son to take me.

I'm going to ask my son to bring hs IPAD so I can show the images to inerested people

Earl Boebert, the historian for the US Vintage Model Yacht Group, told me he will be there and
I would like to give him a memory stick with a copy of my images

The US Vintage Model Yacht Group recently gave me permission to post their images on my FLICKR page
