Replacement sails
Hi all,
I have a RC model sailboat, un-identified, that I got at an auction about 10 years ago. It was not new then either. I have enjoyed sailing it but I have notice that the sails are starting to show their age. I think the sails are nylon but I'm not sure on that. They both have plastic battens as well and I would like the replacement sails to be as close to the originals as possible. Though maybe made of something better than nylon.
So my question is, where can I get replacement sails? I have read a few posts that suggest a normal sail maker but that is pretty heavy and stiff material for a model.
Thanks!

Using the old sails as patterns we can provide either white, woven Dacron sails, or we can make them of the mylar materials used on modern racing model yachts. Contact me at: [email protected]

For cruising and for scale like appearance I'd think the Dacron would be appropriate. If you'll e-mail me directly to [email protected] I'll send you additional information and some photographs of other boats with these kinds of sails so you can decide what you'd like to do.
