How do you get the Seawind's rudder hatch to stay on? I have tried to lube the o-ring, but the hatch pops off after an hour or so. If left dry it is almost impossible to remove the hatch without breaking the upper and lower section apart. Is there a better way to seal this opening?

I had the same issue and ended up just taping it with hatch tape. The local IOM sailors are using kite repair tape for their hatches, comes in different colors and looks pretty sharp.
