Battens on the Victoria
This is my first RC sailboat and I am building a Victora. I had a question about the battens.
The manual says to cut and place the battens:
1. Why do I have to cut them, they are 3 different lengths already?
2. Do I wrap them around the end of the sail to cover both sides or does the batten only belong on one side?
Thanks for your help.

RE: Battens on the Victoria
If they fit, you (obviously) don't need to cut them.
What happend here, is that the kit has been updated with battens that fit, and nobody took the trouble to update the instruction manual, that's sloppy work for you.
A manual for starterboats should be up to date and more than cristal clear in its instructions!
The battens only need to be on one side of the sail, unless they are extremely flexible and won't work singlesided.
Regards, Jan.
