Rainbow for a 5 year Grandson!
I finally got our 5 yr old grandson's Robbe Rainbow to the point of a "secret" shake down cruise, AKA - Does it leak? 
As you can see, he likes Spiderman so I did my best to make it look like a yacht that Spidey would love. [8D] She just needs a name now, he's thinking about that.
The shake down was a major success. She is fast enought that I think it will keep a 5 yr old interested and yet extremely stable with just a touch of weather helm.
Now I'm working on the 10 yr old grandson's Aristo-Craft America's cup. It's also a 20" boat so I know the 2 step brothers will HAVE to race.
My Sunrise is only 4" longer so maybe I can get in the race w/out too much of an advantage.

Thanks Pecos. The 10 year old's will look like a snake! 
I don't know if that one will get "custom" sails though. The hull has been shot with white under coat and will get a couple of lines of metallic gold under coat next. This should be interesting with the yellow, grass green, and metallic emerald green top colors.

That is Dollar Store see thru wrapping paper (plastic?). They had it in red and green and clear w/rainbow effect. I thought the red would look good. I used plastic tape for corner re-inforcing that we bought to seal the insulation seams on our house.
It may not last but is sure looks good right now. Where it was folded over, like around the mast, I just used 3M double stick tape. I may try to do something similiar with a sail block and panels.
