looks nice ,no ive never seen or hear,d of this boat, where did you get the plans? you say you use free plans?.i just build the luna rosa from plans i got off the net.heres a cpl of pics of her ,balsa on frame covered in glass.[img][/img] i have a small video of her 1st outing too.here>>[link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LrO7JIhK0s[/link] its not a great video but it gives you an idea of how she sails with an inexperienced 10 yr old at the helm lol.

Hi,
I know this is not a very popular design, but it a very good one plans here: http://www.shermanyachts.com/informational/vanquish/
I have more plans but I´ll have to organize them so they can be posted on the web, I´ll post them on the website soon, if you want I can send you some, just mail me so I can have yur email address
You boat looks well builted, from what I could see you need to tune it, here is the place to start : http://www.iomclass.org/ I could give you a few tips on this but I´m affraid my bad english would only confuse you but its not difficult to tune the boat ...
The material you use on your boats sails looks like nylon, you should try polyester film (usually used on printing and copying shopps) its a stiffer material and the sails will flap much less you can also use some tin plastic ribs on the sails to prevent flaping...
thanks for your reply,
fred

Hi,
Ripstop is good for low wind conditions but, unless you´ve shaped the sail like an airfoil the ripstop will not let the air flow correctly along the sails and between them, I wish my english was better so I can give you more detailed tips
Check the website again: http://www.iom.aerofred.com I´ve posted a link on the "boats page" download the plans from there
If yo like model airplanes you can watch my main site http://www.aerofred.com lots of plans there too and other info airplanes related...
cheers

I believe you will find Dan Sherman on the RCSAILING.NET site... and he may even pop up here if you would care to get your info straight from the man that designed the boat.
