Default RE: 1:10 scale Safir build

here is some pics of my model.

The only thing I'll change from the real boat is the material in the hull. I will use epoxy and carbonfiber wich will be covered with clear gelcoat or clearcoat.
The bottom will be painted with a coppercolored paint. And it will have a white deck. I'll try to make a picture in photoshop to show you how I want it to look.

I've made som more progress since the last pic. Its getting closer and closer to a finnished plug. just some more sanding:P

Nice work joccee, good looking boat.
Reminds me of my Pro Boat Sanibel 36" R/C Sailboat.

It also looks similar to its model namesake from Graupner.

MiniatureHarken - here is how the deck layout will be. I've been studying pics of real Safirs and this is how most of them is.
The twe red dots in front of the backstay is for the stays. i dont know if I want rigginscrews there too or have it like it is on the real boat(like in the second pic)

ive made some progress since the last pics of the model. And today I did the last sanding and put on a layer of gelcoat on it. tomorrow I will put a layer of topcoat on it and then I'll sand with fine grit paper.
