Michael,
I haven't direct experience with the "Mini Soling", but do have with other of the VMC products. Yes, VMC makes good boats/kits. Take your time, follow the instructions, if you have questions, ask George at VMC.

Haven't kept up with Vitor Model Products line of yachts. I built two VMP Soling 1 meter and they were great boats. I have built over time about 6 VMP kits and they were universally quality products. I can't imagine they would put out anything that isn't first class.
