Where did the 68 inches come from? The BUSA website says 80 inches.

This is a review of the Nieuport done by a friend.

http://www.ibcinyourc.com/store.php/...ew_nieuport_28

It is way too light for a powerhouse as the 30. Use the 20, and add led as needed. It will fly better light than heavy:-) I think his was like 13 pounds...

My 2 cents

Gerry
use the 20 and add lead as it will fly better?
so then wouldn't it be better to use the DLE 30 and add no lead, and be able to cruise at low throttle thus giving a more realistic sound?
these planes do not need heaps of power to get airborne, but using an engine discp. that is going to have ample power to pull the model out of a mishap is always better than using one that has "just enough power". adding lead defeats the purpose of using a smaller lighter engine. you also have the luxury of using a prop with 3" more in diameter.

remember this, the Joe Topper flew his 1/4 scale Nieuport N28 with a Laser 300V and it was not overpowered or heavy.

The thread is on a BUSA 1/4 scale N28 belonging to rcmiket, the other chap psb667 chimed in with a question that we took to be 1/4 scale and got all twisted up then figured out the ARF is about 1/5 scale so the 20 is plenty and it shouldnt need a lot of ballast, its got a lengthened nose, it would be stand way off scale and yes the colors are, well, lets say it simulates camo sort of.

If he scuffed the sheen of the covering it might look a bit better. Some just want a sorta scale looking plane while some are after replicating the subject as close as possible. It's all good and I'm glad to have any comments or questions here on this thread. This is open to all.

Been to cold to build. A friend stopped by Monday and dropped of a almost new G-26 that needed a home. So that's now my choice. It's a much better fit and lighter. The 38 was overkill as Doc pointed out. Hope to return to the build in the next day or two.

As a matter of fact she's done and as soon as we get a break from this 100 degree weather will fly. I stopped posting here when all the issues uploading photos started. I'll post as soon as she flies.

Been a while since I posted here due to all the issues with the site. I finally got to fly my N-28. A few issues nothing major. I'm very pleased with the end results. Took Peoples Choice and Most realistic flight at our scale fly in this last weekend.
