Default Poke around find

If you poke around enough, you find the goodies. I found this at the airport.

Le Rohne or Oberursel? Does it still have the manufacturers plate?

So can you take it home with you because "it was just in the trash?" Seriously, who does it belong to and why is it at your airport. Does the owner realize this engine might fetch "big bucks" for parts alone? What's the condition? Will the current owner take "a couple of bucks and a six pack of Bud" for it?

Talking to the owner today, said he was going to Texas this weekend to see if he can get the other one running which is attached to a Dr1. He also said he needed to change the tires on the Jenny. Seems he and his brother have a flying WW1 museum. I guess someone is lucky enough to be" that guy."

80 hp LeRhone
Are you sure this is the 80hp. I thought those only had 7 cylinders. This one has nine, which I thought were the 100hp versions.

He told me 80. I think 80 and 110 are 9 and 50 is 7. Everything I see for the 80 is model 9C; 110 is 9J.

In the hangar was a bunch of engines one looked like a OX5 block, PT22 to match the spare Kinner, Curtis Wright Junior, Waco project. I dont want to bother him too much because I dont want to be labeled a stalker.
