I'm building a BUSA Cub on floats and I'm at the point where I want to set the engine mount blind nuts on the firewall. The engine is an Evolution 26GX with the standard mount flanges on the case. I've looked for engine specific aluminum mounts and all I find are the rear cover stand off bushings. My preference is to mount the engine using the case mount flanges. Does anyone know of an aluminum mount to fit the Evolution? How about a source for a custom made mount. The Dave Brown line has a mount that is wide enough but I'm not sure the reinforced nylon mount is strong enough. Looking for suggestions or experience based advice.
