Attached is a picture of my engine mounted in the DIII fuse,It sure looks like a lot is sticking out the top. Did the Dummy engine cover the entire real engine on the 1/4 scale?

I'd love nothing more!
However, when it rains, it pours. We had a small fire in our kitchen and cleaning up the mess will take a bit more time. Safety note: I have about 4 or 5 fire extinguishers but all of them were either downstairs or in the garage (our kitchen is on the second floor). From now on I'll keep one upstairs as well. How many fire extinguishers do you keep in your house?

I think once you have the top of the cowl and the dummy engine installed it'll hide most of the engine.

Here's a picture of my US41 on top of the 1/4 scale DJ plans. The prop shaft is centered despite how it looks in the photo (it's just the camera angle). Need to do something with the muffler and flip it 180 obviously. I suppose a function exhaust manifold might be possible too.

Does anyone have photos of the wing tips for the upper and lower wing? The plan shows a profile but a picture would be very helpful.
Thanks, Barzini

Here's two more in addition to the ones I sent. Don't know how helpful they will be.

Outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad you like how it flies. Once you fly an Albi you are ruined for other planes:-)

Barzini, where did you get the 1/4 scale plans and building instructions? The Albatros is one of my want to build WW I aircraft, 1/3 scale is just too big for my pick-up. Your airplane is beautiful. I would really like to build one. I did check Dave Johnson Plans but only listed 1/3 scale.
Thank You for your help
Rich

Looks great! Did you hand-paint Voss's personal markings?

I just had to look at this thread again. The shop in my new house is now somewhat operational and I have resumed work on my Albi.

It's amazing how "insurmountable" problems seem to fade away after an extended break. Things are going along nicely on the top wing and ailerons.

I seem to have a penchant for making extra work for myself. I decided to change the ailerons to a strap-hinge system. That's done and I have the servos mounted.
Sometime ago someone mentioned wire you could buy at radio shack for making servo leads. The leads on this Albi will be kind of long and I want to run them through the radiator down-pipe. Does anyone remember what type of wiring to look for?

TIA,
J
