2012 Scale Nationals
We have been in close contact with the individuals in charge of this year's Scale Nationals. There are a couple of changes that will be effective this year.
First of all, Fun Scale will have the usual Novice class (no changes) but in Open the class will be divided between Aerobatic and Non-aerobatic.
Secondly, an unofficial event is being added by NASA called Advance Class. This class can consist of basically any plane that would typically be flown in Fun Scale but will be static judged the same as Expert, Team and Designer.
The intent of all of this is an effort to increase attendance at the event.
There is a registration form for the Unofficial Event on the AMA web site. http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/2...ialentryfm.pdf
If you attended the Nationals last year it will be in the registration packet that you receive.
There are still some details being worked on so I will update this as soon as more information becomes available. Please ask any questions you may have.
