I actually have a giant scale FW-190 that I'll be selling. I thought it was a Top Flite? Did Top Flite make these then discountinue them? Anyway, I don't have exact specs or pics yet but the airframe is all fiber-glass with a wingspan of~60". The package comes with fuselage, wing, mechanical retracts, cockpit accessories, canopy and cowl. Never Flown or fully assembled for that matter.Anyone interested?

Pretty bird!!

I was hoping for a Dora, but then again I could just get an ESM Dora.
Nice move, Top Flite. My wallet and my wife may feel differently, though : )

So when do we get to see a giant scale Albatros from Top flite Coco! lol I think the A model was a good move. There are lots of D versions available.
This is really nice to see. I will be quiet and go sit in the corner now! lol

Hmmm. Robart like the versions in the Giant mustang/P-47 or similar to giant spring air units. I'm just curious as to what extent the wing will need modifications to get Sierra gear into them.

Cocobear, you are a person of FEW words (no offense). My question is, will this be offered as an Almost Ready to Cover (ARC) so we can do our own color schemes of which there are many?

Usually, our planes are offered as ARF's only upon release. Sometimes later on they will be offered as RTCs. That sort of thing is out of my realm. I work on the technical side of our products. Why wait, strip one down. I know that is my plan. I plan to glass one and detail it out.

DJ,

Is it a 1 or 2 piece wing? My P47 is a pain to transport being a 1 piece, like having a longboard in the car!

Funny, this thread started when someone noticed the Robart retracts for sale for a giant 190. I am sure Sierras would be easy to modify for install. Will be interesting to see if Robart has a new version for this plane. I really like the way the Sierras have the downlocks.

Well' you know me and my Sierra gear, I prefer them and they've proven themselves so when this comes in, they'll be fitted one way or another. I just hope the procedure isn't too painful..[] Hopefully they have simple rails for mounting the retracts like the ESM Dora did.. We'll find out here in a month!

Hell, I wouldn't know.. I only have been building these for over 13 years and only have 67 references.. but my statement is that it has the potential of being either. the scheme may be an A-3 but it could be more.. With a little work (not being satisfied the product out of the box) you can make this up to an A6 if the inner doors for the retracts aren't there.
Good points, especially considering that FW190 ARFs so often have inaccurate side vents for either style, and have the slightly longer A5-A8 nose length versus the A4 and earlier models, if not even longer.
I see that you've built a number of these, and it is definitely a plane that you want to build, or at least modify, to get it right.

I'm going to wait and see how good or bad it is and then go from there. [8D] Either way, I see a change of color.

I'm planning on modifying the stock scheme as was mentioned, and definitely dirtying it up a bit. It's waaayyy to clean.

I'm seeing some panel details on the fuse, I wonder if this is printed on the covering or done afterward. And I wonder what the story is on what looks to be airbrushed areas.

I'm planning to buy one myself and put a Saito FG57 in it. Repaint it as yellow 16 raised outside Herdla couple of years ago
