Hey Joe.. lookin great.. From your pics, looks like your bomb racks need some adjustment? looks like the taper at the top should be 2 1/2 times longer or so? I'm going to get in the shop today and make some landing gear parts...

I agree. It would make sense the the side of the top triangle would more or less fit with the curve of the fuse wall at that level. This is perhaps an instance of how difficult it can be to see the "big picture" when working in CAD, where you have to be so focused on the minutia and the technical aspects. It's hard to "step back" from the screen.

I would assume it's more a product of the materials used. i.e: The models fuse formers need to be thicker being built out of wood, compared to the original metal formers. So using a thicker wooden fuse former would certainly take away the available "height" that can be used for a 100% scale bomb rack

Todays Magic Numbers secure.join.me/659-430-589 and Iwill be adjusting the bomb bay lol funny hop something that wont be seen gets so much scrutiny lol no biggy it should be right ifn Iam going to do it. Imainly made it so that it would be integral in the center fuse framing to strengthen the area around where the wing is since Iam doing the non standard wing mounting to give ppl an easy bomb bay. but what the heck its only enlarging 1 hole and changing an angle on 8 parts then redoing 8 more parts just a mere 3 hrs work hehe.

and no abu Isaw the angle wasnt near as sharp but i wasnt too worried abt it. and you are all wrong on your thingking. it is much easier to stand back and look at things when you are drawing it up in 3d cad where as traditional method be it pencil and paper or 2D cad you cant view it at all. you have to assemble the parts to see if it looks right or even fits. here in 3D world if it goes together in the computer and fits you are guaranteed it will go together and fit 100% when the kit is cut.

Plus paint boy is also correct the fuse formers are a ton thicker than the original aircrafts metal formers were. so i did tweak a few things on the size of the bomb rack but no biggy thats why Ido this online to get input from you guys and Idont take any of it personal

ok kiddies I have the bomb Bay all fixed and its finalized except possibly for the 2 outer walls I might take the slots out so that I can notch the fuse formers to slot into to make everything joined together for strength where the wing is

well extracted the wing ribs today and got those arranged. I need to think on a few things before moving forward mainly how to do the flaps. since the flaps are 1 piece and extend well past the nacelles and the break point of the wing I need to figure out how to do the break. in the mean time ill sit here doing tedious things like stringer notches in the JU-88 and get them out of the way while i try to figure out how I want to do the flaps.

Do you plan to have as many ribs as shown on your drawing?

the big thing is trying to figure out the flaps as they one piece and the wing break will be in the middle of the flap. Italked this over with Jerry Bates and he recommends a removeable flap

hey guys hope everyone had a good holiday. I caught a bad bug just after xmas and ended up in the hosp with pneumonia. just got out couple days ago and feeling better now so I will be getting back on this beasty.

Also I been getting tons of people asking me abt my betty bomber. well when I moved back from phoenix my hd got fried and i lost my work. but due to the overwhelming number of requests for it I will be recollecting my data and redoing the Betty once I get this one going to where I can start Building on it.

Will post pices once I get my head wrapped around where I was at.
