Dennis I normally use the thin flasing from Home Depot. But a friend gave me some of this stuff so I am useing it. Yes it is lithoplate, it is used in printing newspapers and the such. My friend gets it from a print shop but they are becoming scairce. I would use the HD aluminum if this was not free to me.

Well, I'll be a soamfsob!
Got the top wing on the board and commenced to measureing off of the plans. Made all the mark's and thought hmmmmm this looks different than the bottom. So I went and re-measured the bottom. I am a retard. Apparently when I did the bottom I made the first cut and continued to build from it instead of makeing the other cuts as marked. I guess after cutting the aileron off I must have turned everything over and commenced to build from that cut. I ended up with an aileron1/2" smaller than it is supposed to be.
The first pic is where the pivot, hinge point, is suppose to be. The second pic displays the three marks (of which I did not use) thetop mark is the wing T/E, bottom mark is the aileron L/E, and the middle mark is the pivot point or suppose to be.
So I get to build them again!

Really nice job Ace! I began building the GP 1/3 scale arf years ago, still sitting in my basement, not finnished collecting dust. I should try and finnish it up and fly it this summer. I mounted a Fuji 50 on it, so that dates it a bit. I will continue to follow your thread, what an excellent job you have done on this build!

Well it's not a real one but I'm planning on doing something similar to this. I do know the cowling is split, was curious if you were planning on splitting yours. Well here is a real one ha!

Thank's Paul. Yea you need to finish that GP and fly it.
Thank's for the pics Brian and no I'm not spliting it. The seams will be there but I see no purpose in cuttung it. Now if there was a hinged access panel that would be different.
The ailerons are gone and the T/E of the wing has been rebuilt. Tomorrow when I get home from flying I will rebuild the ailerons and get them back on.

Thnak's Anthony.
If anyone is interested the ailerons are almost done. Waiting for epoxy to cure, then install the control horns, then they will be done.

Really! Picture's of ailerons, ok.
And yes, there is too much epoxy. Made a bit of a fillet for more contact area because two control horns work off this area. And when I do a fillet like this I add milled fiberglass to the mix.

Ok! The bottom ailerons are done, except for a final sanding.
QUESTION! Does anyone know what the control throws are. I have set it up at the RCGuys Pitts throw of 1/2" and it seems about right for the wing area along with four ailerons.
On to the top wing. Cross your fingers. LOL

Robert, you want to talk about patients??? Yeah! I'll tell you about patients! LOL!
Hey, speaking of Toni Clarke, you think he'll lower his prices in... I don't know... say 3 or 4 years from now? I need to save up the money for one.
