Here's some more striping on. Will be leaving shortly for the granddaughters dance recital. More to come another day. And the stripes are bolder than they appear in these photos.

Oh yea, there is one other issue. If you look at the stripes going around the cowl, they don't go around. They go up but not over, a little bit short. So I just put some extra wording there.

Should be both. It he doesn't have the short kit all you have to do is send him the plans. He scans them and cuts it. Short kit and plans returned.

Robert, it's 19.5lb. I have to agree with the others, it looks absolutely stunning ! and a little familiar.

Thanks for the info Wayne. I already ordered the wood for this one, but if I'm anything...it's lazy. I just emailed Lasercut USA for a price. I will let you guys know how much if you are interested.

Yes Robert, I am guilty of not reading from the beginning. I found the thread when you were almost done with the framing. But I have read every post since then. I would almost rather build from plans. I am looking for a project with some challenge that will take a while, unlike some of the laser cut kits. Thanks.

Steve I PM'd you with way more info than you were looking for. Get with Rick Boyer for a set of plans. You can find him at the beginning of this thread or the member search. The fiberglass parts and canopy are available through Fiberglass Specialties.

OMG! Look at what came today. This thing is unreal. I was looking at a Lycoming 360 last week so I can say when Valach says they make them like the real thing they were not kidding. A piece of art. Now to get a stand built.

SSWWWEEEEEETTTTTTTT,
That is one sexy engine. The prop noise will be to die for on that engine. I hope you are not worried about the noise level at your field.

Enjoy the fun!!!

I still need to paint the rear half of the canopy. And put the stripe on the center of the cowl, but they are not here. Now I am not going to swear to it, but I believe it is ready for tomorrow. It is being charged right now. But, there is always a but, it don't fit in my truck. So providing I can come up with a way to get it to the field tomorrow-"It will be maiden'd"!

Yup! From all the way over here in CA, she looks mighty fine!!!
Let me get something straight here; This thing won't fit in your truck for transport to the field. So.... just how the heck are you going to get the BIG one back and forth???!!!
