I know how a particular plane sitting on a ramp can grab you. Here is the yellow one that is based in Oregon. Probably the cleanest T-34 flying. I've tried to find a grease spot or water stain on it to no avail. Even the firewall is polished aluminum with a perfect reflection of the engine.

Glad to hear you have your sanding gear ready. You are going to have fun on that build.

Bit of a build but an awesome flyer. Had an O.S. .91 in mine and it was a great combo, ENJOY!

I love the yellow and green colour. Will probably finish my Byron version of this bird in that scheme.

Bax is right about reading all the material for the build.. I read everything atleast six times or more even though I'm an experienced builder..Enjoy your build Bro, I always enjoy mine..when you're done and display at the field, it'll all be worth it...

Welcome to the addiction...

I am local to you, northern Cincy. If you want any help with building or flying, let me know. That airplane is not a hard plane to fly but I wouldn't want to see you damage it if flying RC is new to you. I belong to GCRCC which is a large supportive club and if you are not with a club yet, I would recommend it. It's more fun to fly with others anyway.

I like scale projects too. I have 2 large F-18's I'm working on now.

Your color choice is low vis. but I perfer that one too. Hope you have good eyes

The material you have is just fine.

Any provision for retracts?

Here is one that is almost complete. Power is a O.S.95 and Robart retracts.

just checking to see if you located a kit. there seems to be several in stock at a couple of different vendors. after looking at some of the fine examples submitted in this thread it sure is tempting if you know what i mean. (lol)

I like working with aluminum, This is a 1/4 scale T-34 built from Model specialties Plans. There are not very many modelers out there who have done The T-34 in aluminum. Something to consider.

Without paint simulation, there is FliteMetal which is adhesive backed aluminum sheets. It looks awesome.

Aeosops, i found one for you. its more of an RTF, than a kit.
you can fly this one while youre building.

I would consider aluminum. I'd have to practice on a few things first.

Joe for some reason my ipad wont let me quote your post.

I was a member if the grcc back in 2000. I even have my sign off sheet still from when I got checked out on my trainer believe it or not. I have also spoken to mr kunz about coming to a member meeting here in late January.

I also found a cal guy who may sell me his hangar 9 t-34 for practice of flying .

I'm the typical out of the box guy...
you may like to consider one of the two versions in picture. note that the Turbo mentor saw combat (real combat!!!) on 1982 falklands war.
hope you like to pics.
Cheers and good luck with your project.

Little update!  Been super busy at work, and it seems every weekend I have something! Wedding, drill, trip for business etc.

Anyway I was able to make some progress last night.  I opened her up and started on the tail section.  Forgot how tedoius planes like this can be. Its super fun though!

Here is my version of the 1/4 scale T-34. It is being aluminium plated and eventually fully molded (including wings). However, I have been sidelined by other projects. These are photos of a while ago. Currently I am working on the cowl plating. Hopefully, when the plane is finished it will be a complete ARF one. It is going to be powered by an OS Pegasus FF320 as it should drop in nicely without any hassel. Hope you like.

Guille....0.33 and 0.08mm. I was not concerned about the weight because it is going to be used as a plug for a fully moulded composite kit
