Hold it against light where you can see the reflection of the surface. PoP will yield a glass finish but anything in or on the surface will show. When you pull the PoP you will know with out a doubt because of the (literally) glass finish to the surface. For me the final sanding needs to be wet sanded with a much finer grit, I would say 300-400. And to really make sure of a smooth surface mix up a last batch of finishing resin, with a good brush ready, warm the resin and apply quickly. This (warmed resin) will flow out to a glass surface finish, no sanding, no paint, and no primer required.

Will send the wife out tomorrow with another driver (she don't drive) for sand paper. And then order some Partall Paste from Amazon..
My body is telling me I have done enough today

Amen Brother. And that is the most important thing there is
I really wanted to go to church this morning, but I knew it would be just to much for me. Maybe next week.
[h=3]Psalm 122 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Well, the Easter feast is over. The truck is loaded for the property. And if everything goes well the paint booth will be ready towards the end of next week.

Having nothing to do so I was sitting here going thru the paint process in my head and with pics. Taking notes of order of orientation and such and seen the pic where it showed the strip screwed to the top wing. I mentioned this strip a while back and showed where I used an aluminum strip to simulate it and screwed it in place prior to pinking. Anyway here it is, see!, I'm not nuts!!!
I uploaded it full size so one can get a real good view of it.

And yes, the fuel cap is different on this photo. There are different views through time from maintenance and the such as some things changed. The red one is of the timeline I'm doing, picture wise anyways.

Currently working on a pattern for a mold to make the cabane to wing cover. The pattern and mold will be the hardest part. I would really like to at least have the pattern made before I leave even if I have to finish it in the morning.

The basic outline has been made. It will have to wait until I get some more balsa to widen it before sanding to final shape. It need's to be as wide as the marks in pic two and I have no more balsa other than sheeting.

No comments, I'll add my own. The cabane cover has to be in three pieces so glassing it will be fun. I will try glassing the front cap, then carve the under lapping groove and glass a center section, then cut the groove for the rear cap and under lap. Sounds good to me.
Nothing worse than working one's but off all day, getting cleaned up, and looking forward to the comments here, just to find none. Where is Vincent and Anthony when one need's them?

We are watching Robert. I ahve been in the middle of my own can of realy old worms on the GL.
Our dinner was not as big as yours but was rather yummy. I had to stop early with when my throat started to spasm. But dinner was still good.

I was watching yesterday but I didn't comment yesterday. I was too busy making up the 2 1/2 hours I was at the doctor. Looks like it going to be my turn to get cut on. Back surgery is scheduled tentatively for the week of May 18th (bone spurs and bulging disk).
