That sounds like a good tip. Should work on solartex as well.

Yep, as far as ironing without damaging. But in my experience with Solartex it does not fray like the raw polyester.

Being that I want a super clean finish I decided I am not going to do the painting on the porch. So, I told my son to make other arrangements for a sitter. I will be heading to the paint booth Friday and will be there until this bird is completed.

Almost forgot to tell, in the morning I pick up my Eagle heads. Yes, I found a guy who took the photo and did some image editing such as removing shadows, removing flying wires, removing screw heads, and so on, and re-shaded those areas. I saw it just when he had some screws left to remove and it is a work of digital art.

$25 design fee and $25 per head=$75!! Not bad at all. I will post a pic as soon as I get back with it, unless it is not visible through the transfer paper.

Not too shabby when you think about the amount of work involved.

I was there watching him for about an hour and was blown away at what he was doing, so when I left I felt it was in great hands. As for the price, terrific price in my opinion, especially after a few quotes from airbrush artist.

I am looking to replicate the full scale exactly, or as much as possible for me. It will be very, very, close. I am done ironing, and ready to load up, again, tomorrow for the booth.

As promised here is a shot of the Eagle head, well the front half anyway. The new one is on the left.

I am at the property/paint booth, but it is raining cats and dogs. All I managed to get inside was me and the food. More to come soon.

While waiting on the rain I cleaned the room, it is ready. And the rain has passed so I can get started bringing everything in and set up. I thought while I did this I would go ahead and post this pic, so everyone can get it out of their system....

One good thing about taking pictures, it helps reproduce previous set ups. I started hanging items and am having to use the pics to get it all back on the previous mounts.
