I am thinking of going to the house tomorrow and tackling the rest of the paint next weekend. I'm tired!

Ah yes, the 1/3. Somehow I knew you were going to replace the covering!

Anthony, are you going to be posting the recover job? I'd like look in and see how it goes for you.

Hi David,
I will do a restoration thread once I get the plane ready for the recovering. The Rudder and Fin have been repaired and all the hinge points drilled out. I have a few changes I want to make before covering the plane.
Later!!

We look forward to it Anthony, and don't forget to post a link.
I spoke yesterday of not feeling it on the paint and it turns out I can not find the template for the center star. So I ordered one from Gary at decal-it and will have to wait anyway. But I also don't care to just sit still so I have been tinkering on the canopy. The canopy to windscreen has been matted, drilled and partially assembled for fit. The rear has been trimmed to fit also. I believe the full scale was assembled via silicon but I will attach by way of a hot glue gun.

Boy-o-Boy is Gary at Decal-it the man. I emailed him yesterday about the star and this morning I get an email back stating it is on it's way. Just don't get no better than that.

Got to thinking about it and I should have it pretty much done by the end of next week. All that is left is the wing (3 days), the canopy needs fine sanded and painted (1 day), a final run on the engine, and final assembly (a couple days), take apart and go maiden. The maiden may not take place until after December, we'll see.

Thank you, and
LOL! Yea, I'm getting excited to. So much so I ordered my next kit today. A Sig Spacewalker 1/3 scale, it's going to get a bit modified though.
Of course this build will be dependent on whether there is something else coming for me to do.LOL

You can build a 1/3 Spacewalker in a month. It shouldn't slow any other project down.

Good luck on the final paint and assembly !

The only thing stopping it from happening is me, but only until the end of December.

Thanks for the well wishes Tom. The Spacewalker was cancelled, no sense in having a kit on hand for a year or so. As long as everything goes as planned I will be busy on a Bulldog 1 build and then after it will be a Bulldog 2 build.

And deal with the white stuff is why I do not intend to go above 2000 feet when we move from my mothers. Want to get above 1500 to escape the smog here in the valley. It plays havoc with my asthma

Robert, David and anyone else interested, I have started the thread for the repair of my Cub. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/cras...l#post11925296

Won't be much happening there until Friday. Damage was minimal and already repaired. I have everything stripped but one wing panel and the struts. I decided to give the Stits process a try after talking it over with Robert on Sunday. Sounds easier and cheaper than KlassKote.
Later!!
