Oh boy can't wait to see the completed project done and in the air...After all, 158 pages for one build, that must be some sort of record for detail!

Don't you dare, that would be like reading War and Peace and someone ripping out the last few pages! I have thoroughly enjoyed it!

LOL! That is not an option anyways...
The struts, antenna, and aerobatic flag thingy has been sprayed with another coat of white (not quite bright white enough for me) and then cleared. The windscreen frame was sprayed gold and cleared at the same time. Have to let all that cure for a couple hours.

Yep, finally starting to make some headway. While those parts are curing I have been sanding/priming the intakes, these were far rougher on the surface than usual and took many sanding repeat's. But I think I have them done now, in the morning I will shoot them and maybe get them glassed in place before I have to leave.

Dude!! The fuse is looking fantastic so far...flawless! So tell me, is this the best build you've done up to now or what? This is one Christmas you won't forget. Great work!!! I can only imagine what the Bulldog will look like.

Well, actually, I do the same for every build. I build to the best of my ability irregardless as to the airframe. Of course it is not every day one needs such a fine finish. Some here may recall I did similar on my small PItts, yanking off the covering and redoing it that is and also a fine finish as well. If I don't like something I have no reservations in doing it over.
And you can be certain your Bulldog 1 will be done just as well.

Wow!! That's nice too. What motor is in it? Do you like speed or scale?

Something wrong with both? It is a CRRC 55cc twin cylinder.

Nice choice... I like them both. Have you seen the Valach 60cc? I bet that would be nice in it too. Im installing a DLA 64cc in my ToniClark Pitts. Speed yes, scale sound, not so much.

I've been thinking a lot for a long time about building that Andy Sheber Pitts. I think I may order the plans. That will assure that I finally build one.

Sound can be modified, to a certain extent, but generally I don't worry about it.

The intakes finally got a coat of paint, this was painted with a quick drying vinyl/plastic type of paint. I was going to glass them in tonight but I could not find my 2oz. glass or finishing resin. I finally remembered I ran out and have not ordered any more. So, I'll have to get some. I guess tomorrow I will install the windscreen and start with the wing's and wire's. Don't know how far I'll get until I have to leave.

I can't get over the size of the propeller on that valach 170... when she's up on the tail, there doesn't look like there will be much prop / ground clearance... or is that just the camera angle / perspective.

John M,
Yea, that shot is a bit misleading, but not for the camera reason but rather because there is 3" of wheel lift missing.

Ok, that makes sense, but still a lot of prop there.

John M,
True, but, I will also be going to a 3 blade prop after the maiden. That would be 3 inches smaller in diameter.

The three blade prop will look nice.

Just watched a youtube video of a 1/3 scale savage bobber with a valach 120 in it... such a sweet sounding engine.
