Well guys, I have a small Pitts and have been meaning to get back to flying with it in order to get ready for the big one. I went out yesterday to get started and had gas draw issues, dried oil on the screen. I fixed that and went back out today but it was waaaay to windy. While sitting around shootin the bull a fellow club member said he was looking to sell his Great Planes S2S and at a very, very, good price. So I bought it, I will pull everything out of the little one, put it into this ARF, and fly the crap out of it. All to prepare for the big one of course.

That's a bad word to use in a build thread , especially when there's 10k plus on the line, no omens here.
What you have a bigger one than this EMHW Pitts... I thought this EMHW Pitts was 40%, or am I missing something.

You guys are going love this. Got started early this morning, I thought the frame needed to be a bit stiffer so I applied two more layers of 2oz glass. Waited two hours for the cure but it is cool in here and taking some time. So I broke out the little heater and set the parts in front of it. I came back in thirty minutes and to my surprise apparently things were to close, the canopy had collapsed. So, for now, I am very frustrated but I am sure it will pass and I will finish everything else while waiting. For today I'm done, going to do some plumbing.

"Too close to the heater", I'd say it was right on top of it... sorry for the set back.
Now you see how easily those space heaters can start a fire, I hate those things... anyways, I'll take a few steps back ,as I don't want to be hit by all the falling debris from your bout of bad luck ... remind me to tell you the story about my abs cowl and the microwave oven, at least yours still looks like a canopy, mine, well lets just say there's something in abs that ain't microwave safe
There's a saying " third times a charm "... funny thing about it is, you have to screw up three times in a row before you can say it... fourth time there are no excuses

It's all good guys. I should have just turned the heater on in the house. Epoxy resin does not cure very quickly in a 65° room. I have sent Frequent Flyer an email in regards to another canopy. In the mean time I can put the wings on and get the flying wires set up and ready. I can also work on the cabane cover whilst waiting. By the time I get another canopy everything should be done and waiting. And the next time around with the canopy I will start with a heavier cloth and a warmer room, should be a simple task now that I've done it a few times. And just FYI this will be the first functioning canopy I have done. There's always some learning curves to something new.

Best way to learn. And its not just you learning here. Thank you. I've been putting a lot of thought into my first sliding canopy and how to make the frame so, again, thanks.
