I don't know if it is actually going to work, but, I like how it has turned out. I pulled the plastic canopy off and just for the heck of it I stood on it, so it is strong enough. Tomorrow I will wet sand it and go from there, depending on how I feel that is.

Thanks Jeff, it will have to wait a couple days. Turns out the wife would like me to replace the living room floor (hardwood) and re-screen the patio the next two days. So, feel like it or not I will be heading home in the morning, will be back to work on the planes Thursday.

I returned mid day yesterday, whooped, and sore. But I have been sanding and coating, sanding and coating, the canopy anyway. It is almost ready, one more fine sanding should do it. I don't know for sure when I will attempt the pull though. Next week is the wedding and all that goes with it, we will be starting Monday getting things ready. Sooner or later I will finish this Eagle, promise.

Finally made it back last night and have spent the morning sanding the plug with 1000 grit, I think it is ready. Everything is set-up and ready but I need to run to the hardware store for some tack rags, then I will attempt another pull.
And I forgot to note the foam did not work. The night of that post, 4/7, I noticed as it cured out more the shrinkage after expanding was pulling ripples in the glass. So I worked late into the night to remove all that foam and apply two more layers of 5oz glass, plus waited and rough sanded it. I added a ply base at the bottom on the inside with epoxy and when cured I did the same stand on it test, it passed. Yea, that was a late night and laying that flooring was a miserable day.

I have learned a lot and achieved my goal, here is the first near perfect canopy. The steps for me are turn on vac, wipe mold, unplug oven, transfer the plastic. And even with this there are still 2 specs that are on it, if I had an actual ventilation system it would be spot free. Even so, I am ecstatic with the results.

Thanks Jeff, Art, and Kevin. If it were up to cost I would never have started this beast.
I am using the one I pulled that had all the dimples to make the framework. I am glad to be back at a point where it's forward progress instead of reverse.
