I have had problems with the site the last couple of days so out of desperation I checked and FireFox had turned off updates. When I restarted them I went from 4.0 to 4.02 and my RCU problems cleared!

Hi Robert,
I found something cool on the Knife Edge swap pages today for Real Flight.
It is in 33% scale but you can increase the size to match your plane.
Later!!

Nice find, WacoNut,,. I did that color scheme for that Pitts For Real Flight. Go back to post ,2886.... Took me about 4 months, But I finally got her done. Had to do a lot of research on the graphics. I will have to say, that is my pride and joy as far as color schemes go, that I`ve done for Real Flight

Yes I do, I have 7.5

A guy on the Knife Edge forums created a CS for my 33% WACO. He also modified the AV file for me so it fly's like my WACO. Really does help.

I`m familiar with that project, I may have helped with the blue color on one of the color schemes that was released,, I gave Doug the darker of the blue shades to use. I picked it from one of the pics you posted..

GACK! I am about to start flying that airframe!

Just mounted a Saito 150S this afternoon and only need to run it in and modify the cowl to take the muffler and (re)make the aileron interconnects. That snake muffler header extension enabled me to put the exit to the muffler near where the cowl has an exit already in it.

What is so special that you needed a file to fly it with RF? That kind of worries me...

Jim,
My 1/3 WACO is highly detailed and weighs about 60 lbs. I crashed it once due to getting too slow on landing and had to do a total rebuild. The RF time just helped to get confidence back with the plane.

Sometime here shortly I am going to get a new Realflite just so I can fly the Eagle on it, and mine is getting a bit sluggish. Speaking of the Eagle, http://allthingsaero.com/airshows/ar...miniature-size.

Great Article Robert! It goes to show you the RCU peanut gallery was right about your Pitts, this artile and the others are proof your Eagle is a smashing success!

As someone else said, it was not me! I loved the idea and the execution.

@ WacoNut: SIXTY POUNDS!?!?! I thought the 1/3 scale birds had wingspans of less than 72 inches (mine is somewhere in the 60's) and that weight simply must be a typo. I am pretty sure mine is going to weigh in around 20.

Jim,
My WACO is 1/3 scale has a 120" span and a 3W-157 for power. With a 10ft span the WACO is a massive plane. Quite impressive in the air I might add.

Robert,
The RF version 7.5 runs much smoother than the older versions.

Later!!

Nice article Ace... she's getting the attention she deserves... I can't imagine no one liking that scheme, its very patriotic and busy, not your typical aerobatic color scheme; its very unique, and those are the best paint schemes to immortalize in an RC model; you want something that stands out and gets everyone's attention!!

BTW, I don't recall seeing that particular photo when you posted in the thread (the one in the article), but with the Extra in the background, and Jacquie kneeling at the tail, really shows how big the pitts is.

Just did a little research on the Realflight Pitts. It was released in the 6.0 version, has a Weight of 17.435 lbs and a wingspan of 30.9 in. If you decide to get realflight the plane can be modified to your planes specs in there editor. There`s pretty much nothing that can`t be adjusted. I don`t have 7.5, so I can`t tell you how it will handle in that version. Usually the flight characteristics are slight between versions
