It has taken all day, unbelievably, to get the tail feathers completed.

Annnnnd, the fuse is done. I am going to wait for the decals to start re-assembly. So, all that is left is the cowl but it will have to wait for another day, don't feel like getting into it. I will not be getting back to this until after next week. Tomorrow I have to get things loaded on the trailer for a week at the other place fixing things, mainly a new roof, but plenty of small things to do.
Ohhh, I can hear the haters screamin already!

Woo Hoo, the vinyl shipped today. The RCGF 60cc twin came today, it goes in the yellow Pitts of which I took the CRRC out of for the GP Pitts. Looking this thing over I just do not understand why more people don't like them.

There was a video taken on someone's phone of Jacquie flying the Eagle. I did not film this nor choose to use a phone, but, all in all it turned out pretty good. Notice at the beginning someone was talking to us, not a good thing when starting a plane. I flipped once to many times while under choke and took forever to start. Also, one can't hear what is going on so a little explanation is in order. I would hand Jacquie control after coming out of the turn and straight and level, more or less. This is the second time up so I let her have control a little longer than the first time.

Kudos Robert. Your story is a terrific one.........how many of us actually get to do this?! You're the only one that I have ever heard of.
Simply magnificent! I certainly admire your achievement.
Cheers,

I would luv to have been there Ace to see how well she flew her little "mini me" ... flying RC aircraft's is not as easy as it looks... RW pilots understand the principle of flight better than most RC pilots, but its the perspective of standing on the ground flying an aircraft, rather than sitting in the cockpit that gets them... their minds are trained on a different set of sensory sensations, that is of no use to them when flying an RC aircraft... they have to retrain their minds to react to situations they would never experience sitting in the cockpit, as we had to when we first started out; like flying towards oneself, (which was the biggest hurdle I had to overcome).

Plus 1 to what Art said.
One other observation.
Looks can be so deceiving. ie. Jacquie does not look the part of a Dare Devil.

Thank you to everyone.
I have memories of a fantastic journey and will never forget them, but, it is time to go and fly the stripes off it. I sincerely wish everyone could experience such an undertaking with the same final outcome as I have with this Eagle and Jacquie.
Again, "Thanks for taking the ride with me"..

Thanks tmac, but you should know, I sweep everything out of sight before taking a pic. The pic is the current pile from todays works yet to be picked up.

Looks sweet Robert !
May I ask who did the vinyl ?

I just push the mess aside before taking my pictures. When I run out of places to push it, that's when I pick up. That's also when I find tools.
I wish I could "identify" as a neat nick.

Kevin

Hehehehehe....Robert, 'not one of your best' is still way better than most folks would ever be able to do.....what a great way to make something unique out of what was a run of a mill scheme.

Did you photo shop the last two pics ?

Yea, that was my symmetry jones speaking. I would have had to battle it hard, to invert the starboard graphics.
Great scheme . Will be an attention getter.
