HELP!!! Can anyone identify this plane?
I was hoping someone might recognize this airplane. I know it's a Fokker DVIII but not sure who the made the kit. It might be a aerodrome 55" but I'm not positive. My father purchased it assembled a few years ago but it didnt come with any info. Any help would be great!

Jon, If the fuse sides and tail feathers are built up from sheet balsa, it may be a scratch built from a set of RCM plans designed by Henry Haffke. He made a 40 size D8 back in the 70s-80s about that size. If you go to the RCM plans site, you can still get the plans. And if not, Ram-bro is right. The balance point should be right around where the forward struts attach to the wing. Bon champs.

The cowl length is very long and not scale. I had a Ben Buckle and it had a shorter nose. Not that it is not the Buckle kit though. With as many DVIII kits as there are, have been, exact specs would be required to identify it. Also if it has an undercambered airfoil or not would help. The Buckle design did have undercamber.

Thanks for the help guys and sorry for not saying so earlier. Pure speculation is correct this time I am trying to sell this plane and want to have some more information for the potential buyer. I will look into the plans to see if that was the case. Thanks again everyone.
