Now I'm in Temecula, California up to November. I need some suggestion about where order a pair of main LG struts, 5 mm diameter.

This is the real DC4 main LG, and of course want some similar, but not 100 % scale.

This has been a good time for us. Juan Carlos is working very hard in this project. He found just some some minor issues in plans but we are really happy !

Juan almost finished center section of wing, and still working on tips. I still in Temecula, Ca up to November, then my work on building this model will begin. Fiberglass, paint and ....flying!

I hope to fly the TC48 in December or January.

Thanks Tailskid. On first post I was in doubt about fuel tanks, but really wasn't a problem. There's enough room for a 4 Oz fuel tank for each engine. So I will have enough fuel for 8 minutes flights.

Last weekend I was at Tucson Pima Museum, and in some moment found a C54 G same version of TC48. Was a very emotional moment shared with three more argentina's friends.

Juan Carlos still working hard. He has 4 engine cowlings. They are ok, but these rivets must be fixed. This is my work.

GOOD NEWS

Juan Carlos told me today he will finish his work next monday Nov. 3th. He sent me some pictures of wings and told me "I almost finish TODAY building, but some delay of a friend who made fiberglass parts make me finish in two days."

BUT, he don't pay attention to an unusual detail. Next monday is 11/03/2014 AND IS THE 49th OF THE ACCIDENT! What a coincidence!

You are doing excellent job building your DC4 from Mikes plans. I've been watching your progress quietly and I am very impressed with ur building techniques. Your nacelles are built just I built on my S Connie.

I had worked for more than a month in fiberglassing the DC4, and now is done. Also made molds for better cowlings, and after some problems with primer (was dissolved by polyester resin, got a decent fiberglass cowl. Next step is adding LG, painting, canopy glasses and flying!

This picture is very emotional for me. She is Celicia Viberti, daughter of Capt. Viverti who was second pilot of the airplane at the accident. She still searching in Costa Rica for his father and the remains of the airplane. I visit her in his house in Santa Fe, Argentina in november.

And this one is me with Juan Carlos Sorgetti when I picked up the model.

I did new fiberglass cowlings, it took some time. I did 3 cowlings using grey gelcoat and one just fiberglass to keep some translucent in engine #3.

Also add the landing gears and fiberglassed the whole thing. Now is time for painting.

Currently I'm just finishing up a Pat Tritle 60" Douglas DC-6 ; how ever building s scale DC-4 like My Father flew on during the 'Berlin Airlift,' is my ambitious plan for s Winter build. Default Dc-4

Hi guys, I'm desperately seeking drawings for a DC-4.

Any likelihood the CAD files still exist? I want to build one so badly, but with a twist, it'll be modified into the Carvair, a modification made by Aviation Traders at Rochford, Essex UK under the leadership of Freddie Laker.

I'm willing to pay so please please can someone help in my quest?

Many thanks

Matt.
