on another note, I see where you mentioned that you ordered a canopy. Not many folks are aware that the vertical canopy frame work for the most part is inside the Plexiglas .the plexi is screwed down to the metal frame.

Interesting. I kind of wanted to try to build the frame, from fiberglass, and then glaze it with the canopy material that I have. Giving it a real 3d appearance. I need to research this process as well, as I have not done it before. There is an unfinished tutorial on RCSB, and he started by making a plaster plug from a plastic canopy such as what I have. I think I have an idea of how to go about it, just gotta dig in and try it for myself and work out the kinks.

It is too bad the siren could not be made smaller to fit in the Spats like the full scale.

don't know what books you have but I think( ? ) if you look closely at the various photos with an eye on the 2nd & 3rd vertical framework in the sliding section you will begin to see what I'm talking about.

Ram-Bro, Take your time and do it right, it's worth it. They fly wonderfully well.

Grimmace.....you had to go there didnt you. I have about 2000sq feet of airplanes down there or 34 fully assembled planes. I have a path built in. I have only damaged one plane and that is the swordfish. Grimmace, if you want those stuka spats....let me know

I aspire to have a nice, large, Scale Mig 3 one day. Meanwhile I am pretty happy with my sport scale Sarpolous Mig 3. You are also supposed to bring it to the WBOTR! Maybe you should just sell it to me?!

It's OK on the Spats, I already have them in hand. All of my glass showed up this week.

no problem. Since I finished the Mig, I have been knee deep at work....hopefully that all ends this month and we get the reactor started along with my flying life.

Ram BRo, that stuka used to belong to me, I sold it off a few years ago. I can tell you that it's an excellent flying airplane and the engine runs great assuming that it was not messed with it since I had it. I see it even has the same prop that I put on it. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. My wife painted the crow on the cowl, when I got it this plane was a wreck so I did the repairs and completly stripped it down to nothing then started over. I'm really happy to see that it has not changed!

X craft, I kind of figured that the guy i bought it from did nt build it. It is a master piece. I have it parked next to my Dauntless....2 premier dive bombers in their time. I can only claim the scale dust and the siren on this. Cant believe anyone would want to see this one leave their collection. Your a master

I sold it off mainly because I had trouble transporting it since it's so big and I needed some extra cash at the time. I'm selling off some other stuff now as well since I don't think I'll ever really get back to flying like I used to, that being said if I ever wanted to get stuff back that Stuka would be at the top of the list.........

I have tons of photos of the rebuild process, I've been trying to upload a few here but for some reason I can't drag the attachments to upload them. If you PM me your e-mail I'll send a few if you want.

I have a flight video as well but it's 10mb, I think it's to big to send to you. It's set to a music track so I can't post it on Youtube either, if you inbox will hold larger than 10mb I'd be happy to send it on.

Hi Xcraft. I used your spat mods years ago, and they worked out very well. Can you post your video here ? I collect Stuka videos, they have been very valuable in teaching me how to land it.

For whatever reason I can't get photos to upload and the video I have is set to music. I had it posted on Youtube but they pulled it down. If your inbox is larger than 10mb I can send it to you if you wish. It's a shakey video and not always focused well but still watchable for sure.
