Art, those servos are perfect. I have the HT 7955 in two of my 40 lb biplanes on all 4 surfaces. The larger and split on elev should be a very good choice.

I have started repairing my 1/3 N-11 (the one I crashed at the 2013 HDP). Will probably get back on the half scale after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Have you flown your N-17 yet?

Art,

I came across the very well done video on WW-1 flying and pilots. It shows Victor Chapman a few times , first is just before 20 min mark, and some in flight shots of a replica Nieuport in his color scheme. Some good info for N-28 as it has restored Smithsonian in mid progress.

Yep, sure does .....but I think his problem was the fact that it was a pup - and pups don't roll very well. But after he added differential throw to his ailerons the roll rate perked up a bit.
And I am pretty certain that that lack of differential was not your problem.

The differential problem: I have determined root cause is with my brain and thumbs. My brain thinks at high speed and my thumbs just kinda lag behind.

Flew my 1/3 Laser 200 and 1/5 scale Zero this weekend: 4 flights on each bird and no roll problems noticed.

.
You know, if the truth be told, I suspect that would be the root cause of most of our problems.

Wow! The cold weather hasn't even got here yet and it's still fall - and you're going stir crazy already!

Good to hear your camel has a working noise maker hanging on the front end - it was a long season without it running. What was the fix?

Oh, and yea, that was a good one .... 90 degrees hahahaha

Sorry about that I found the little box with alot of fun stuff to reply with ,, just thought I would try it out . IT WORKS ! i think it is funny . The crank trigger was the problem ...Not the ignition , bolt it up to the engine quits working , take it off to test it and it worked fine everytime , bolt it back on bend wires to fit in the clamp to prevent them from vibrating and it quits working ..I will be ready to fly come spring time . Time to detail everything on the plane ! Sorry I sounded like paul jr earlier ..I will work on that .

Turtle Report:

I put the third scale N-11 on the back burner again and have started piddling with the half scale........

I have temporarily attached the firewall/cowl ring with a screw in its center, cut out some upper fuselage formers and started fitting stringers. The dash/former looks to be a good fit and I am working on the cockpit former (a two piece laminate)(one notched for the stringers and the other relieved for the cockpit sides) - I think I have got the right fit to the fuse and have started cutting in notches for the stringers. The rear fuse formers are squint your eyes close at this point. I will lay in the middle stringer first, then hand fit all the other formers and stringers, cutting notches as I go.

Not close enough, Doc. Items remaining on the crash damaged third scale are.........firewall.......front bottom hatch......new cowl ring......glue up new cabanes which are already fabricated ala the GTM strut method......touch up/repair the forward fuse covering........repair the landing gear. Oh, I almost forgot - need to put new fuel nub on the carburetor and see if the engine still runs.
