What a machine ! I think covering those tail surfaces would be easier than 1/4 scale stuff If I had a farm I couldn't resist a 50 percent something WW1 ....
I am not even sure our field is big enough for anything 1/2 scale though. We have a nasty levy on one end, and the field is low on the other side so its a blind landing if you have to put it down over there.
I LOVE my N11 1/4 I bought at the 2013 ODP... the started Balsa USA kit. Its such a great camera platform.
I sure hope you guys take a lot of video this year.. I search youtube for new WW1 planes EVERY DAY !

Yes, the excitement just grows and grows - except in this case it's a false positive. If all the construction were actually completed, then yes, EXCITEMENT would abound muchly........but that is just not the case. Still lots to do! Just doing the covering for a change of pace............"I think I can, I think I can!" said the little engine that could - or was it the little red caboose?
oops, look at the time! Gotta go.

Turtle Report:
Couldn't find any usable wood sealant in the shop so I had to resort to my least favorite - epoxy. Mixed some 30 minute and thinned with alcohol ....... painted it on with an acid brush ....... waited a few minutes for the mix to soak into the grain ....... wiped off the excess with a paper towel. After it set up only a little bit of sanding was required.
Now I'm watching paint dry.
