I can' wait, weather here has been rain and mud road to our field.
I'm adding something new to my Pup, just for ODP, and will keep HPA tail clear of enemy!

I say boy , that was a joke. In actuality, Cocobear was one of my pups. He passed away at 14 about a year ago. His brother Mr. Puff is failing. Very sad actually.

I hear ya, DJ. It's always tough when you loose part of the family. We lost Stinker this past winter so Rhonda and I certainly empathize with you.

On a brighter note: See you at the ODP!

Dogs are a big part of our family too. I have 3. My 13 year Lakeland Terrier named "Maeve" unfortunately starting to go downhill quickly. I have her on three of my models.

1/4 Fokker D-7 named: Schwartz hund and translates to "Black dog". (Yes a Led Zepplin fan too)
Hostetler PT-19. As "Teachers Pet" with same dog profile as on Fokker but in light brown.
1/3 Pup in Naval 3 livery.

Looking forward to this years Ohio Dawn Patrol! I'll have my 1/3 & 1/4 Sopwith Pups again this year.

Jim, I'm really hoping I get a chance to see your DH2! My 1/4 scale DH2 is coming along slowly but surely. Starting to cover it now. Will hinge the control surfaces & hook up pull-pull cables soon.

Well Dawn patrollers......
Last weekend I was at a pretty sweet field.... flying my 1/2 scale D6 (re-cert flights) and the putting the finishing mods on the BUSA Mc Camel.
This was the field the Mint Julip was held and will host the Masters coming up..I believe...
The hospitality was second to none. If you are curious so see the field I am talking about....see Sam Parfitt road trips 2014 on RCU.

The D6(1/2 scale) flew awesome again, the same as last year. The Camel needs more elevator throw to keep the tail down on landing....other than that it ... ready to go.
The D6 (1/3 scale) is on the table now getting some serious PM work done but it should be ready for ODP.
The D7 (1/4) HPA rocket ship is ready to go......

TOMORROW is JULY!!!!!!
ODP countdown officially starts YAAAAAHHHHHOOOOO!!!!

I hope so Jim!

We are going to have a blast ! The guest list is already off the chain! and lets not forget BUSA!

We have a great selection of pilot prizes this year.

The corn is going to harvested right in time!

The pool will have a "aerator" this year...apparently some kids last year.. were told that bullfrogs making those bubbles(yeah that was me) and when the parents told them the truth .... there was yellow caution tape
around the pool the rest of the weekend!

We are having a 4th of July camp fly at the field. This is also one of my favorite times of the year. Our Chef Jeff will do some testing and tuning on his smoker and his new ginormous gas griddle
which we are very happy to be his "test subjects"!

ummmmm no! We will actually have a brief ceremony ...which YOU and Greg will re-live your "bone head" foe-paws at the Friday night camp fire. After some spirits are consumed and the jaw jacking reaches it peak, then I will take the GE award and hand it to Doug who started all this silliness and he will chuck it into the fire. After more spirits are consumed ODP will unveil its new award program. Teaser: this year we will start with 2 of them..........

Is it redeemable at the package store?

Can I borrow your plane to try to win one of these new awards?

It is not redeemable at a package store........

Last clue: You will never be able to win one of these awards with a HPA plane.....at least this year.........
All of you have a better shot with your own planes..........
