Awesome Videos, Sir Percy!
I'll try to get Saturdays "Second Wave" posted as well tonight - same bunch as on Sunday, plus one.
What was interesting watching them in person was just how hard it was to pick out the 1/2 scale Fokker D.VI from the 1/3 scales!! Ended up I had to follow the sound rather than looking first in order to pick it out of the gaggle!
Best regards,
Lee McD

Great video Sir Percy!
What a great time we had at this year's Hoosier Dawn Patrol. Those morning flights were the best........early morning and evening flights, to me, are what the all the dawn patrols are all about.
A group of pilots, talented pilots I might add, and a bunch of planes, talented builders, too - brought together at one field ........ just waiting for those perfect conditions and hoping for that perfect flight.
And we were rewarded with several evening and morning flights .......maybe not perfect, but certainly memorable. And even some pretty darn good daytime flights, too.
And it all ended too soon - much too soon!
Steve, aka Sir Percy, thank you for keeping the dream alive!

Will there be a 2015 Hoosier Dawn Patrol??
Hi Steve,
I'm trying to arrange a schedule of a lot of travel and flying events this summer. I don't see any listings on the AMA website for the 2015 HDP. Is it combined with the Indiana Warbird Campaign this year? I think I was the first to bring a Maxford not-quite-scale 20% Jenny to your event some time ago, and saw photos of more at last year's gathering. After my van crapped out I was no longer able to transport her. I finally cut the fuselage in half in preparation to make it fit in a new compact SUV and the next week found the perfect light-weight camper to convert to a Jenny hauler (of course). She's been rebuilt and recovered in a new scheme and has been campaigning for the last year. I hope to fly formation with the other Jenny's soon.

Sure do remember. We had 2 Jenny's flying last year . They probably accumulated more air time than any other model. Those guys flew the crap out of those airplanes. I still want one. I'm waiting on the AMA to confirm my request on the date for the HDP. I have tried the past few weeks to get an answer, but no results. All event requests must go through site approval and scheduling, before they commit. I have no guarantee for my request so I will wait. I will post every where when I get one. Look forward to seeing you again.

it's finished , the weather set in last fall before I could test fly it. So I moth balled it for spring. I still have to balance it, but eager and ready to go. Seems every one has a D-VII.. This is Emil Thuy's paint scheme, Jasta 28. Some have argued the wings, but Dan San-Abbot sent me the scheme and 3 view.

Looks Great , The yellow makes it stand out ! Cool ! The DVII is an incredible flying airplane ......in the hands of a good pilot ...it would make a jealous ducks butt pucker ! Billy Thompson !

Lucky enough to see this one in person at ODP a couple years ago... I am shocked there isn't more footage of it out there. If I was around Billy wouldn't be allowed to fly it without my little High Def cam onboard somewhere !
