We'll just post THIS in case the first page is slow to load!!!
Cincinnati Aeromodelers - 8470 Lawrenceburg Road - Harrison, OH
NOTE TO NEWCOMERS!!
The field entrance can be a bit hard to spot the first time. There will be some markers out, but my suggestion is as you approach the entrance to slow a bit. Here it is on Google Maps:
And as typical, google and reality are a bit different. The red arrow marks the entrance.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!!!

Billy Clink,
A flooded out airplane shouldn't stop you from going I will bring my camel for you to fly. Come on out. Relax and fly with me. It's WWI stuff... I will have two tents and extra chairs.
Anyone know or recommend a hotel that is still available? I know its late, but I was not sure I was going to make it until now. Any place as close to the field as I can get will work for me.
Thanx

Back home a few hours ago from yet another fantastic Ohio Dawn Patrol. It was hot, it was humid, it was a little windy on Friday. It was great people. It was great models, it was great flying, it was great catching up with and making new friends. It was great hospitality and it was a delicious BBQ Saturday. It was, well... just great.
The pic above is Doug Miller's 1/3 Albi on the wing of Art Shelton's 1/3 Dr1 make low pass Friday morning. I was surprised I got this as my glasses and camera viewfinder were fogged up from the humidity. More photos later.
Thank you again Cincinnati Aero Modelers for another great event!
More here on the RC Dawn Patrol FB page too.

Helen and I got back to Wisconsin Sunday evening after a wonderful weekend at ODP 2015.
Sitting at work today VERY tired - gonna be a long Monday.
Got a bunch of GoPro video, regular video, and even quadchopper video to wade through, but some of it is good (particular the quad, which doesn't shake near as much as the Go-Pro) - I'll get some of that posted later this week.
Meanwhile, here are a few screengrabs, and just a couple of random pictures I snagged during the event:

The weekend went by very quickly. Rhonda and I arrived at 2:15 on Wednesday afternoon and then suddenly it was 11:30 Sunday morning and we were pulling out the gate heading for home............EXHAUSTED!
I did manage to get home without having to stop for a nap, but it wasn't long before the ZZZZZZZZZs caught up with us. Much later that evening we got the vehicle unloaded and most everything unpacked.
I burned 3 gallons of gas and don't have to repair either plane.
I was a very lucky man TWICE. While landing with the DR1, I set her down in the rough at the edge of the runway - we were landing 2 abreast and I gave Paul way too much room. He was on his side of the runway and I was more than on my side. As soon as it touched the tall grass and cut hay it immediately flipped upside down.......no damage at all......WHEW!
Then later on I managed to get my Nieuport 11 in a major gyration while taking off. At about 2 wingspans or so high it was pointing straight up, nearly straight down and both left and right knife edge all at the same time and all under minimum speed for flight.........and then reduce power and land with the engine running. Don't ask how because I'm not sure. I taxied back and then took off. Double WHEW !
Glad I don't have to work today!
