Default US ARMY De Havilland Beaver question

Does anyone know if the the large " US ARMY" lettering painted on the upper and lower wings of the Olive Drab Beaver is white or yellow ? I have plenty of photos of this aircraft but none that shows the top or bottom of the wings !.
  • Thanks much, 'buff

As a general rule, all lettering on US Army planes are yellow. The Army Beaver has 2 basic variations.

US Army Aviation museum - (no white ARMY on side)

Scholfield Barracks assigned -

US Army, Europe - (Cold War)

From the research that I have done it has white "U.S. ARMY" on the wings, white "ARMY" on the fuselage, and yellow "U.S. ARMY with serial number on vertical fin.
