I have both, I had just gotten that tuned muffler from a seller called Gatafish on ebay so I was trying it out while breaking in my brand new Fox 40. I plan to use the quiet version it's a tiltup and a little shorter, that tuned muffler though, WOW! sure juices up the topend, has a nitro crackle to it that's pure motor music.

I have both the tuned and the quiet fox mufflers, just doing some break in with the tuned as I had just received it from ebay, am going to use the quiet version and it is going to tuck in right under the cowl sponson real nice. I rebent my gear to key into the gear block from the center instead of the legs bypassing each other which gives you that offset gear thing, I think it will work pretty good.

I have the engine mounted and here are some shots of my method for getting a really exact and tidy gap between the spinner backplate and the nose of the plane. I went from a 2and 1/4 spinner that the plans call for and increased the diameter to 2 and 1/2 it just seemed to look more scale, the 3 view I have shows a big fat spinner that is more than 1/3rd the span of the cowling. The carbon fiber spinner is available from a Chinese co on ebay for super cheap, aluminum backplate with precise interchangeable bushings and free shipping, usually have one in about two weeks when you order it, They also take primer and paint very nicely.

Sorry for dropping out of sight sir, I have lymphoma and it took a big swing at me but I've beat it back some and I will be finishing this plane. I can't believe that the federal aviation goons didn't give us modelers the ass rogering of a lifetime and actually did the right thing.

Default sweet Minnow .

I have a couple Stafford minnows kits i purchased recently after seeing that one Of yours i want to get to building soon.
That is Beautiful and with the right engine it would be surprisingly Fast.
Regarding the Sig 450 it has a wing like that at the wing tip .
it was the second plane i built in the early eighties .
I'd send Pics but i'm not sure how yet
